Ford Tudor Sedan Coupe 1934
Brighton Motorsports is pleased to offer this exceptionally classy 1934 Ford Model B Tudor - 5 window - Street Rod.
Calling it a street rod doesn't tell the whole story - this is more a work of art, steeped in automotive history.
The Ford Model B is notable as the last of the three-year run which began in 1932 - this is an ageless design that has stood the test of time. The swept forward grill of the 1933-34 emulated the early '30's Packard, a vastly more expensive automobile - far beyond the station of the Ford which was originally priced in the area of $500.00 to $600.00. The Ford Model B was also the first mass-produced car available with a V8 engine.
That 1934 flathead was putting out 84hp, twice as powerful as many other cars on the road.
Fast forward 78 years.
With its updated drivetrain - this Hot-Rod 5 Window Coupe is still twice as powerful as most of the cars on the road.
This 5 window is truly special. Here's why; most hot-rods take on the personality of their owner during the construction phase, and regardless of build and material quality, when it comes time to sell, that "personality" turns into a liability.
Because its a one-man car.
Not this one, the overall craftsmanship and high quality of the customization manages to supremely capture the essense of Hot-Rod, without needing to raise its voice for attention. Everywhere you look, be it inside, outside, or underneath, there is a cost-no-object supreme attention to detail and craftsmanship. It just all works together in harmony. The stance of the red-painted wire wheels, with big tires filling the wheelwells, sweeping fenders, beautiful chrome brightwork, and the greyhound mascot out front. Totally emblematic.
Its Hot - but at the same time Oh-So-Very Cool.
A look under the rear bumper will reveal a classic polished and chromed Jaguar IRS, with 4 height adjustable coil-over-shock units, and inboard disc brakes. Moving forward is a GM Turbo 350 Automatic, and under the hood is a very powerful Small Block Chevy.
This car is a blast to drive, and gets the looks wherever you go. The reclining leather seats are very comfortable, allowing plenty of legroom, and the tilt column drops to the perfect cruising position. Power windows run up and down nicely, and the A/C will keep things cool if you get caught in traffic.
