Description
Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this exceptional “old school” 1929 Ford High Boy Custom Roadster – professionally-built just four years ago in Arizona, where its remained in a prestigious private collection.
This is one of the sweetest driving High Boys we’ve ever driven – it has wonderful road manners and is easy and fun drive. It rides on ’32 rails, with highly detailed and chromed front suspension, drum brakes all-around, and a Ford 8-inch solid axle rear-end.
Powered by a Chevrolet 350-cid V8, with finned Corvette valve covers, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, which is topped with a “tri-power” set of three GM Rochester dual-jet synchronized carburetors with braided aircraft fuel lines. There is plenty of chrome engine trim – including chrome alternator, chrome “shortie” exhaust manifold, which feeds into the chrome-tipped dual exhaust system. Adding to the driving enjoyment is the GM Turbo-Hydromatic 350 transmission.
The all-steel Brookville body is painted in Henry Ford black, and is finished in high-style details such as a genuine 1929 front mounted fuel tank (for appearance only), blue-dot tail-lights, suicide-doors and trunk – which could be left as a trunk or easily fitted with rumble-seat (the trunk also houses the fuel tank and battery enclosure).
The comfortable and roomy interior features beautiful red upholstery and carpet, and is finished with great attention to detail – from the shifter, pedals, push-button start, to the black-faced instruments, machine-turned instrument panel, Ford "Banjo" V-8 logo steering wheel and beveled-glass rear-view mirror. If you’re in the market for a very cool, old-school, drivable Hot Rod, this car is for you!
