Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this show-quality, head-turning 1934 Ford Custom Roadster. Full of interesting features and a very cool look, this hot-rod is the perfect cruising and show & shine roadster that is sure to deliver great fun to drive and own. It has very low miles – just 7,246 and it’s titled and licensed as a 1934 Ford Roadster.
Built to high standards with the best materials, parts and workmanship that you’d expect in a hot rod of this quality.
OVERALL SPECIFICATIONS:
BODY: Speedway (Gibbons) Body with original steel hood and grille, steel trunk and front fiberglass fenders. V8 shop running boards and windshield frame. Pete & Jakes front nerf bars & rear bumper. Finished in Corvette Torch red paint with bright yellow flames, over tan top and interior.
TOP: Handmade leather top from Mercedes-Benz leather. Also has a second leather top which is custom fitted to protect the leather show top.
INTERIOR & FINISH: Full leather interior with custom-made roadster-style seat and custom matching leather door panels. German square-weave carpet including interior and trunk. Highly finished and detailed trunk area. All upholstery work finished by Glenn Kamer, owner of “Sew Nice Upholstery” in Glendale, Arizona. Interior features a chrome roll-bar, “Wings” instruments, GM tilt steering column with LeCarra steering wheel covered in matching leather. Instrument panel and glove box door are engine-turned stainless steel. All glass is high-quality tempered glass.
ENGINE: Balanced and blue-printed small-block Chevrolet engine stroked to 383-cubic inches, 4-bolt mains. Polished and ported Dart Sportsman II Heads, Custom Comp Cam with Hydra Lifters. Polished Edelbrock 2x4 intake manifold with dual Edelbrock 500-cfm carburetors with Progressive Linkage. Joe Hunt (Magneto) Electronic Distributor. Hi-Torque starter. Chassis Dyno rated at 425-bhp at 5300-rpm and 460 lbs-ft torque (Dyno report available). Lots of chrome, polish and detailing. Engine was professionally built by Searing Engine Service of Chandler, Arizona.
TRANSMISSION: Street and Strip B&M Turbo 350 built by American Transmission in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hughes 3000-rpm stall converter, Specialty Auto Tech. Finned aluminum tubular dual pass transmission cooler. B&M Pro-Ratchet Shifter.
BRAKE SYSTEM: 11-inch front disc brakes. Standard Ford 9-inch rear drum brakes. Brake system proportioning valves. Dual-reserve master cylinder with power booster. Goodman High Performance electric vacuum pump auxiliary system.
SUSPENSION AND STEERING: SuperBell front axle with 4-inch drop – split wishbone setup. Newly installed Vega cross steering system (20:1 ratio). 9-inch Ford 4:10 Posi-Traction rear axle. Pete & Jakes ladder bars and coil-over springs. Halibrand polished 5-spoke alloy wheels 15x5.5-inch front, with 165R-15 Michelin front tires, 15x8-inch rear P255/70R15 BF Goodrich T/A rear tires.
OTHER MECHNICAL equipment includes Sanderson jet-hot coated headers, chrome flex fan, low-mount chrome small 100-amp alternator, (Tanks) poly 16-gallon fuel tank, trunk-mounted enclosed new Optima battery, Hagen blue-point headlights and ’39 Ford blue-dot tail lights. Griffin Aluminum with 1.25-inch tubes and built-in overflow tank, lower transmission cooler.
SHOW DETAILED, dressed and ready for shows with whimsical and fun touches, such as matching fuzzy dice, flamed floor mats, color coordinated trunk with cleaning, show and shine accessories, DVD player, and more. Car has never lost in Class A shows from coast to coast.
