Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 454 SS LS6 Pro Street car, built to the highest performance and quality standards, while preserving the true essence of the 454 SS – the king of ‘70’s GM Muscle Cars.  
 
The original LS6 454-V8 provided this car with 450-horsepower – at the time the most powerful Chevrolet available. Today, this car is equipped with an all-aluminum Donovan 454 V8 with an estimated power output of 550+ horsepower! Donovan engines are famous in racing and high performance circles as among the best aluminum engines made. The Donovan engine does mean that this car is not a numbers matching LS6.
 
The Cranberry Red paint, body and interior are in excellent condition and were finished new during the full restoration. The interior neatly blends the Pro Street gear with the factory look for a very clean finish. Full roll cage and G-Force 5-point harnesses. The restoration, paint, body, chassis, interior and engine build is documented with a photo album and magazine article. Time reports from two Texas tracks document performance.
 
Engine built by Reher-Morrison of Arlington, Texas: 1993 Donovan Aluminum 454-V8, Manley rods, JE 11.5:1 pistons, Michigan bearings, A1 flywheel. Crane camshaft, pushrod, lifters. Edelbrock front cover and water pump. Ported, polished and CC’d Chevrolet aluminum heads with stainless-steel valves. Full aluminum roller valve train and girdled studs. Holley 4-bbl 1,250-cfm carburetor, Dart aluminum hi-rise manifold and valve covers. MSD ignition & control box, aluminum radiator, K&N air cleaner. Hooker headers leading to Flowmaster dual ceramic coated exhaust. GM Turbo 400 transmission with B&M Shift Kit. 12-bolt GM rear-end. Trunk mounted battery, fuel cell, NOS Nitrous system. Electric cutoff behind rear license-plate. Crager aluminum wheels (15x7 front, 15x8 rear) with BF Goodrich tires.
