BMW Isetta 300 Deluxe 1959
14hp, 1 cylinder
Lt. Blue Metallic/Blue Interior
Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present for sale this unique and fun 1959 BMW Isetta 300 Deluxe. This example has only covered 1470 miles since being completely restored and it looks fantastic. The exterior is finished in a beautiful shade of light blue metallic and the interior is outfitted in dark blue vinyl. Everything on this adorable micro-car is freshened or brand new. The recent work performed includes new paint, new window seals all around, new interior panels and floormat, new front and rear bumpers & nerf bars, all new emblems & badges, 4 new mudflaps, new tires & wheel covers, full body seals, luggage rack and new blue tinted sun visors. The 14hp 1 cylinder motorcycle engine is new, it starts and runs smoothly. The clutch has been replaced and engages as it should. The 4-speed gearbox shifts well and the syncros feel healthy.
There have been some ‘custom’ touches added to the car. They include a tastefully mounted domelight, hazard flashers, and a period correct BMW Bavaria AM/FM stereo with 2 speakers. Also, the shifter has a lock cylinder on it to lock out gear changes. Everything works as it should inside and out. The luggage rack has a picnic basket strapped to it and inside is a set of silverware, glasses, plates and salt & pepper shakers. The fold-black cloth sunroof is a fantastic option that really lends an airy feel to the cockpit when open. This Isetta 300 was brought to the US from Heidelberg, Germany in the summer of 2006. It has spent most of its time in the US on Balboa Island, CA, right off the coast of Newport Beach. If you are looking for a fun microcar to tool around in this is an attractive and reliable example.
