The Passion Burns Bright
What began as Shane and Karen Mustoe's shared passion for European and American collector cars has evolved into 20,000 square feet of showroom, mechanical repair and restoration space, otherwise known as Brighton Motorsports. We strive todeliver an old-world commitment to excellence while servicing your vehicle and assuring your complete satisfaction.
Shane Mustoe
Shane's first sports car was a 1964 MGB. He bought it in 1972 while he was in high school. By the age of 20 he had bought and sold numerous British, Italian and iconic American Cars. While Shane's taste in cars is very diverse and eclectic, he recognizes the common thread that binds car people together and enjoys them as much as the cars themselves. In his opinion, “cars are meant to be driven.” Accordingly, he is proud to offer many driver-quality automobiles in the Brighton collection, thereby keeping his own passion alive as well as that of other driver-collectors.
Karen Mustoe
Karen's love for cars began in childhood. She grew up in Texas where she and her father would ride motorcycles and follow changes in car design with keen interest. To this day, attending a great car auction takes precedence over a day of shopping with the girls. In 1988, Karen moved to Scottsdale where she began a career in sales and marketing. Brighton Motorsports provides her the opportunity to combine her business acumen with her passion for cars. Karen's favorite part of the day is sharing her love of cars with her customers.

Chuck Banning - Master Technician
Chuck arrived in Encino California from Canada in October 1964 after working on MG’s and Triumph’s for three years. In California he worked for Frank Millard Sports Cars where he performed Pre Delivery Inspections for five years on new Jaguars, MG’s, Aston Martin’s, Sunbeams and Triumph’s. He moved to Arizona in 1969 to work for Fletchers Chevrolet which took over the Jaguar Dealership in Phoenix. When that went out of business, he moved to Scottsdale Jaguar in the summer of 1985 until January 2006 when he retired. We are privileged to have Chuck along with all of his vast, wisdom, experience and humor on our team!

Rick Stephenson - Master Technician
From a very early age Rick found himself with the driven desire to dismantle anything with a motor or mechanism to learn how it worked. By the age of 20 he had built a classic American muscle car, his 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS and became a regular member of the Los Angeles Street Racers.
He continued in the automotive world working on exotic iron in southern California and receiving factory training from Peugeot, Lancia and Fiat just to name a few. In 1981 he moved to Arizona and opened his own automotive shop specializing in mechanical repair, fabrication and high end performance motor work for eleven years.
He and his wife Shelley have raised three kids and now have six grandchildren and two great grandchildren! He loves a good, long ride on his Harley-Davidson and still enjoys working on vintage European and American cars – a perfect match for Brighton!
